SHORT DESCRIPTION
Boswellia is a herbal resin derived from the gum of the tree that is used for various herbal based formulations and as a food supplement also. According to Ayurvedic medicine, Boswellia is a Rasayana or rejuvenative herb with bitter, pungent, astringent, and sweet tastes. It has to balance effect on all three doshas but may increase Vata and Pitta if used in high doses.

HOW TO USE
- Frankincense oil or Boswellia oil is used extensively for aromatherapy as palm inhalation for mental clarity and concentration.
- Can be used in available tablet form to treat Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, asthma, ulcerative colitis and osteoporosis condition.
- Add ¼ to ½ teaspoon Boswellia powder to a cup of warm water. Consume it twice daily as a dietary supplement.
- To make a mouthwash to treat bad breath caused by gum disease, combine a few drops of Boswellia oil, ¼ teaspoon salt, and 4 drops of peppermint essential oil in 1 cup of distilled water.
