SHORT DESCRIPTION

The rhizome of varahikand is the therapeutically used part. It has a sweet, bitter and pungent taste and is light to digest with hot potency. It is basically used as rasayan to provide strength and helps to pacify aggravated Kapha and its overuse can vitiate the pitta dosha. In Ayurveda, Varahikanda is utilised as a replacement for the Riddhi and Vriddhi medications of Astavarga.

  • Advised to take the prescribed dosage as per health condition to avoid any side effects like stomach upset, burning sensation and bowel discomfort.

HOW TO USE

  • It heals piles by roasting 1-2 g of Varahi tuber powder, by combining it with ghee and sugar candy in it.
  • In diabetes, 2-4 g of Varahi tuber powder mixed with rice flour is effective
  • Consume 1-2 g Varahikand powder with honey with milk for a month and only eat milk, rice, and ghee to get biological attributes of youth, karma strength, and so on.
